National Work Experience Opportunity – Quick Deadline

Tight Deadline – Fantastic Opportunity!

Can’t resist sharing a happy piece of news with you – hope it brightens your day!

Business Foundation Course work experience programme

We have received an email from our contact at Linklaters regarding a fantastic opportunity for students to take part in their Business Foundation Course work experience programme during the February2024 half term.

Text below if direct from their email:-

“Designed to develop important employability skills and provide valuable insight into life at a global law firm, this two-day course offers the opportunity to engage directly with Linklaters staff and take part in a variety of activities that will expand students’ understanding of the firm’s Business and Legal Teams.

The course is open to students in Year 11, 12 and 13 from state schools across the UK.

  • In-person course: 12th-13th February 2024
  • Virtual course: 19th-20th February 2024

We encourage you to share this opportunity with your students and encourage them to apply via this link. The deadline for applications is Friday 12th January. Please note that spaces are limited and applications may close early if the course is oversubscribed; students are advised to sign up as soon as possible to secure their place.

If you have any questions or require further information about the programme, please do not hesitate to reach out to community@linklaters.com. We will also host virtual and in-person courses during the Easter holidays.”

Further Information we have is as follows:

  • We are especially keen to reach young people from Social Mobility Cold Spots and others that might not be able to access similar opportunities.
  • We have only had 7 applications to our Virtual Business Foundation Course on the19th and 20th February. This is a fantastic opportunity for those living in areas where access to work experience opportunities might be more limited.
  • The 12th – 13th February opportunity is indeed in London, a tour global headquarters which is located in Moorgate. Students that apply to that course therefore need to live within a commutable distance. We are able to cover travel expenses within reason and assess each application for reimbursement on a case by case basis.

Please let us know at AEBP how students in your area get on!
